In the latest blog in our “10 Ways FirstNet” series, first responders talk about their use of data, devices, and applications in the field.  But what does it look like in action? Click the video link below to ride along with San Diego Fire-Rescue and see how they use tablets while on their way to a call.

Featured in the video is Matthew Clark, Firefighter/Paramedic. His fellow firefighter, Selena Laniel, explains how they use mobile devices like tablets for medical aids. Tablets help San Diego Fire-Rescue teams determine, "...why we are there, what’s going on, what type of treatment are we doing, which hospital they are going to," she told FirstNet. "We use it side by side with the ambulances. If we get there first and we enter all the information on our tablet we can just send the information to the ambulance because they are going to be transporting the patient, they’re the ones who are going to be going to the hospital. ”
