Public Service Recognition Week 2016

May 2, 2016
Public Service Recognition Week: May 1–7, 2016
Public Service Recognition Week: May 1–7, 2016

The annual Public Service Recognition Week is underway, and FirstNet would like to recognize all State, tribal, local, and federal public safety personnel for the work they do to keep our communities safe and secure.  The FirstNet team takes public service seriously as it is a reflection of the community that we serve; many of them are on the frontline of emergencies and other life-threatening events every day.  We are committed to deploying a nationwide public safety broadband network (NPSBN) that will provide first responders with access to cutting-edge communications capabilities.  To kick off this week, President Obama signed the Presidential Proclamation on Public Service Recognition Week, 2016.   To learn more about how to celebrate Public Service Recognition Week in your agency or community, please visit publicservicerecognitionweek.org
