The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) congratulates Chair Sue Swenson on her induction into the Wireless History Foundation (WHF) Hall of Fame.  This honor recognizes individuals for their contributions to the wireless industry in the areas of leadership, innovation, and achievement.

“Sue has been an outstanding leader throughout her career, and this award is much deserved,” said FirstNet Vice Chair Jeffrey Johnson.  “As the Chair of FirstNet, she brings the vision, leadership, and attention to detail that has made FirstNet a successful organization, and I am honored to have the opportunity to work alongside her to build a nationwide public safety broadband network that will save lives.”

Ms. Swenson was named FirstNet Chair by Department of Commerce Secretary Pritzker in 2014 after serving two years as an inaugural member of the Board.  She has extensive experience in the telecommunications and technology sector, serving in top executive roles in a number of mobile communications, software, and digital content companies.  Ms. Swenson also serves on the Board of Directors of Wells Fargo, Spirent Communications, Harmonic, and Novatel Wireless.
